You can form groups that brainstorm a book idea, fiction or non-fiction. A lead editor is assigned. The group members are locked in. Each member submits chapters and chapter edits to a wiki like interface. All changes are reported to all group members for review. Lead editor signs off on everything.
After a book is finalized it can be made public to the rest of the site and voted on, or it can be made public as it is being written. Top books get free publication managed by the site owners, who get a cut of publication revenue. All authors of each book get a cut proportional to their rate of contribution to the book, which is measured automatically.
